The Towadi, with its minnow-like shape, lands at a relatively upright 60-70° angle, and its curved belly enables crisp dog-walk and table-turn actions, creating an attractive wake for trout. When jerked sharply, it dives, and the cup-shaped head and slightly flattened body shape induce irregular actions such as flashing. Despite itssmall body, the tungsten weight positioned at the rear balances the center of gravity, allowing for long casting distances.

The key is to lower the rod tip and move it in small, jerky motions near the water's surface, then pause for a slightly longer time. Then, give the tip a larger jerk to make the lure dive.After the dive, add a twitch to create an irregular action. (This is a slightly difficult technique, but) it is effective when the fish are not very active. The best time of year for this is early spring, but even in winter, the evenings on sunny days (when the water temperature rises) are a good opportunity.
